The silicone mat works exactly as intended. Unfortunately, the markers permanently stained my 3 year olds terry cloth romper within minutes. Dawn, laundry detergent, oxygen bleach, stain remover, and rubbing alcohol had no effect. The ink also stained skin. I would not recommend this for young children unless you are comfortable treating the markers like permanent markers around clothing and furniture. These products are designed for children, and should be able to tolerate that.
This mat has been amazing for naidoc week in my daycare. We love it.

This is my second time ordering from Hey Doodle and it was a big one, I wanted extra markers for my son as-well as a few new mats and travel case. I love that no matter what mat you get,it comes with pens and you aren’t having to buy separately. The mats have helped my son not only with his coordination but also his speech as he is interested in the pictures and tells a story while drawing. I personally love that when he wants to start over he just grabs a baby wipe and cleans it himself !

Love this new mat with an added bonus of the dot matrix on the reverse side…great for playing ‘boxes’. Thrilled with the extra pens too. Green and blue are our favourite colours!
This drawing mat is the best toy I've ever bought, no doubt about it. It's perfect for taking anywhere to kill time, like waiting at a restaurant. It's super easy to clean, and the colors of the brushes are really vibrant.
A wonderful product to encourage creativity and enhance those important fine motor skills. We played with it outside and it dried quite quickly in the sun so that we could add new colour layers and have it ready to peel and stick to our windows.
We absolutely love our Hey Doodle colouring mat! My daughter is 2.5 and this is one of the only activities she has that keeps her busy for a while! It’s also a nice calming activity to do before bed.

As a child I had something similar, but with crayons, I needed something for the grandkids bro do on wet days .. I am astounded at how popular these turned out . The girls are hooked , I need more , and the larger the better ! Parents love the wipeable texta that refuses to stain tables, floors or furniture!
My 2 and a half year old is loving colouring in all the bugs and different bits and pieces with all of the bright colours. The textas are easy for him to hold, colour well and survive his sometime full on colouring.

Incredible tool to help small children with writing/manual dexterity We have been working with my 3 year old on writing letters and this is absolutely the cats pyjamas. Only thing I would do differently is have the letters in alphabetical order but honestly - it’s an amazing tool.
All HeyDoodle mats I bought a few mats and we love them all. Highly recommend. We use a wet wipe to clean off and start again. So good for getting off screens and I've been enjoying colouring as well.
creative cool mat for endless fun Hey Doodle mats has been a huge hit with our family, especially with my 3.5 year old daughter! She loves using it to learn writing numbers and letters. she is so proud and dance with joy after finishing each letter/number. We got introduced to it from her speech therapy session and after seeing it worked for us at home , we bought more mats and other items from hey doodle within a week. It’s been a fantastic tool for building her fine motor skills and boosting her confidence, we can see in one week she has gained a lot of skills in holding pen and writing letters. What’s even better is that she enjoys cleaning it at the end—wiping it down feels like part of the fun for her! Watching her take pride in both her work and the cleanup process is so rewarding. This mat is durable, easy to clean, and endlessly reusable. A perfect combination of fun, learning, and responsibility in one product. Highly recommend it!
Cutest mat for a girl! 🌈 Loved this mat so much I ended up buying this one again for a present! Great for fine motor skills and educational with numbers to count from 1-10. The creative design has lots of cute pictures, my 2yo and 4yo girls love making it colourful. They also like to flip the mat over and play naughts and crosses on the back!
Love the new pouches! Upgraded our very loved Hey Doodle pouches to these! Love that they fit the mat and markers too and great for keeping in the car. The new pouches zip up like a glad bag and are super easy for little hands to do!
Good size/width I only purchased this as the normal markers were out of stock, and was initially concerned that they might be too "fine tipped", but pleasantly surprised. The photo shows a standard marker (red) vs the fine tipped (blue) so it's totally ok to just use the fine tipped set on its own.
Great for learning letters and coloring within the linesfor my 3yo Our son is 3,5 yo and he just started to learn gripping the pensil for writing / drawing. He was frustrated because it was really hard for me. Being bad at something and sticking to it is very challenging for my son. But the texture of this mat actually makes the writing really more accessible for him. I think it's because it is less "slippery" than paper, somehow it's more soft and silky. Now he is obsessed with practicing the letters on his mat and coloring the associated picture and practicing the sound, like "sssss for snake!" - that makes him so much more confident about his writing, without even noticing he is writing, just by playing. Even the wiping at the end is part of the fun :) HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

We love something new and different! The sketchbands were a great original idea for our party lolly bags. Fantastic quality and a fun activity for kids. There was room to add a couple of lollies also. Parents and kids all commented on the great and original idea! Thanks Hey Doodle!

My son loves using this This is one of the best things I have bought my son. He uses it all the time and we also take it out with us everywhere. It was perfect for using on our long flight to England. I just wish the pens lasted abit longer as some have already run out of ink

Genius product! We LOVE our doodlemat! This has been the best purchase for our overseas holiday. Miss 5 is really into her drawing and colouring, so this has been amazing for airport waits, restaurant mealtimes, even poolside play! One little bag holds hours of entertainment (and peace and quiet for mum & dad!). We will definitely be buying more!
Best thing since sliced bread I purchased our Hey Doodle after a recommendation from a friend. We have a holiday coming up and thought it would be perfect for the plane ride. It turns out it's perfect for anytime! My daughter busts it out every day and I love the markers and easy wipe clean. I actually find it fun to do with her also, which is a bonus. I'm thinking about buying a different design for options. 5/5 definitely recommend

Turns out it's good to have two on hand in case a friend comes over. I reckon they need to be washed within a day of colouring to be properly clean but that's pretty normal for reusable colouring stuff, I think.

Lifesaver Our daughter is 15 months old, the Hey Doodle mat kept her entertained on her first flight. We counted animals, named animals, identified numbers while counting, asked her to point to different animals, cover our hands over different animals seeing if she remembered what was underneath and of coursed coloured in! Cannot recommend this product enough, compact (taking up no room in our carry on) and so easy to clean and continue to use!
Subject: Follow-Up: Extremely Disappointed by Lack of Response Hi there, I’m following up on my email below, which I sent on 24 August, as I have never received any response from HeyDoodle. Outlook.pdf I have to say, I am extremely disappointed by this. I took the time to write a detailed and genuine complaint because I have invested a considerable amount in HeyDoodle products and have otherwise really loved the brand, particularly the silicone mats. Outlook.pdf I raised a legitimate concern regarding the colouring pens, the difficulty of removing the ink, and the fact that I have now discovered your newer washable, non-toxic pens. I also specifically asked what HeyDoodle would be prepared to do for existing customers, particularly those of us purchasing through Canada. To receive no acknowledgement or response whatsoever is incredibly disappointing and, frankly, not good enough from a customer service perspective. I would have expected considerably better, particularly given how much I have supported the brand and invested in your products. I am not someone who complains unnecessarily, and I deliberately contacted you directly because I genuinely like HeyDoodle and wanted to give you the opportunity to address my concerns properly. At the very least, I would expect my email to have been acknowledged and my concerns addressed. Ignoring a detailed customer complaint for this length of time does not leave a particularly positive impression. Please can someone please come back to me with a proper response and an explanation as to why my original email has gone unanswered, as well as what you are prepared to do to resolve this matter? These mats are great but I wish the markers were washable. We took this to church with us and both my daughters dress and mine were ruined when touched accidentally by the markers.
